The Social Spot Marketplace

The Social Spot Marketplace is an offshoot of our beloved Pop-Up Markets, offering permanent vendor spaces year-round. Located beside the famous MacKay’s Ice Cream in Historic Downtown Cochrane, the Marketplace offers a permanent retail home for your locally created products.

We provide the space, the marketing, the staff to sell the products, and a vendor-accessible platform to track sales – you pay a rental fee with a small commission, provide the goods, and walk away with your sales. No hidden costs.

In-Store Pop-Ups

Looking to try out the shop for a day or the weekend? We decided to continue offering the opportunity for vendors to pop-up in store! A great way to see what the store is all about, or to simply reach a new demographic.

The Social Spot Marketplace is a permanent retail space where local artisans can showcase their locally created & inspired products.

Interested vendors can complete our application. Once submitted, your name will be added to our waiting list. We’ll reach out if a space becomes available for your business.

We are located at 218 1st Street West, Cochrane in Historic Downtown, right above the renowned Mackay’s Ice Cream.

Mackay’s Ice Cream, situated below us, attracts between 12,000 to 15,000 visitors per week during its peak months.

Our hours are:

Mon – Fri: Noon – 6pm
Sat: 10am – 6pm
Sun: 10am – 4pm

Our primary shoppers are women aged 25-65. However, we also attract a diverse range of visitors, especially from tourists.

We have a flat rate fee system, with no commissions or hidden charges. The rental covers staffing, marketing (social media, website, newsletter), and all processing fees. Rates vary based on the size and type of shelf or space rented.

We have three shelf space options, and  we work closely with vendors to find the best fit for their business. 

Yes, we welcome food vendors! However, you must hold a valid food handling permit as required by AHS.

All approved vendors sign an initial three-month Vendor Agreement. After that, the contract transitions to a month-to-month basis.

Approved vendors are required to pay two months’ rent upfront along with a one-time administrative fee.
